Leadership rooted in service

Our governance is set out in our constitution: members elect office bearers, appoint a Board of Directors and hold it accountable.

Governance

How decisions are made

General Meeting

The supreme organ of the Foundation, made up of all members. Decisions are taken by majority vote of members present — including admitting new members and appointing the Board.

Board of Directors

Makes rules and regulations, protects the Foundation's image, recruits office bearers, shapes strategic plans, appoints auditors, proposes projects and forms committees where needed.

Terms & accountability

Office bearers are elected by the General Meeting from among members for a five-year term, renewable once. The Board meets twice a year, or whenever an emergency requires it, with a two-thirds quorum.

Membership: founder and ordinary

Membership is voluntary and open to any individual aged 18 or over who supports our vision, mission and objectives.

Founder members

The members who took the initiative to establish the Foundation.

Ordinary members

Members who join after establishment, with the right to vote and to be elected into leadership.
