Schoolchildren during a health assessment

Annual school health assessments

Bulati Village, Ngorongoro District

For the past two years we have assessed the health of schoolchildren every year — screening for common childhood illness and malnutrition, and supporting their growth and their place in school.

Latest updates

What we are working on

Ongoing

Ultrasound outreach for expectant mothers

We take ultrasound examinations to remote and underserved communities, so pregnant women and women with gynaecological conditions can be assessed close to home — with linkage to treatment and referral when needed.

Ongoing

Child health screening in underserved areas

Our child health team screens for respiratory infections and diarrhoeal diseases, identifies and assesses malnutrition, checks growth and developmental milestones, and educates parents and caregivers.

Community

Hygiene, sanitation and safe water education

We support complementary community health initiatives — hygiene and sanitation education, and affordable, safe water and hygienic latrine solutions.

Advocacy

Expanding HIV counselling and testing

We advocate for and support access to voluntary counselling and testing services across Karatu, Mto wa Mbu and Ngorongoro.

Service

A polyclinic that never closes

Our 24-hour polyclinic in Karatu provides general consultations, laboratory investigations, pharmaceutical services, antenatal care and healthcare for infants and children.
